The new series just feels so hollow. I see people that are real passionate about it but I just don’t understand. I’m not trying to knock anyone (everyone sees things differently) but there just doesn’t seem to be enough there to really get invested in, if you are totally new. Half-baked plots…

1. Cidre needs to be replaced. Dallas is supposed to be a family drama not some fantasty crime show for her entertainment. 2. Waiting until 2014 for season three is a bad move. 3. I’m really not feeling it anymore. 4. JR writing a love letter in vain, arranging his assisted suicide and keeping the truth from Sue Ellen while everyone else is in on it is absolutely HORRIFIC. I don’t see how the situation can be fixed. Frankly it makes me sick just thinking about what Cidre has done. 5. What a mess.

It’s depressing that I can’t include the love letter as it makes NO SENSE NOW.

Okay this is the first week of the rewatch. Every Monday until season three starts I’ll be posting a new episode (that’s of course if anyone is interested in this, if it flops than oh well….) I just thought it would just be something fun to do during the hiatus. We’ll mostly be watching original episodes so if you’ve never seen the old Dallas this would be a great chance to get into it!

Here’s how it’ll work, I’ll post the episode and we all have a week to watch it, talk about it and cap or gif it. That cheap stone is not right

I think once the next one with the same name is born it’s ‘II’. So when John Ross was born JR turned from ‘Jr.’ to ‘II’. I think they say ‘Junior’ as long as there’s only the old man and the son. That’s how I learned it… Not that it’s overly important but the freaking stone should at least give his full name….

The tombstone looks like cardboard and the name should be John Ross Ewing II. Jock’s tombstone saying Jock Ewing is just as embarrassing. Apparently Cidre thinks we are stupid and full names would be confusing. As usual she ends up cheapening everything.

I had to respond on Facebook to this nonsense. It was theraputic going off on them.

“An act of love? More like an act of a coward. The way JR was written out was disappointing. Who traumatizes their son like that over the phone? Who begs for a second chance with the love of their life just for the heck of it? How long is Sue Ellen going to walk around thinking Cliff murdered JR while everyone else in the family knows the truth? The love letter that was absolute perfection doesn’t even make sense now. Way to go writers, one step forward and two steps back.”
